We collect information you provide directly (name, email, company name), information generated by your use of the Service (time entries, client data, task records), and technical information (IP address, browser type, usage analytics).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process payments, send transactional and operational emails, provide customer support, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers who help us operate the Service (Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, Mailgun for email delivery). These providers are bound by data processing agreements.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your profile settings.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@retainerops.com or use the self-service options in your account settings.

8. Email Communications

We send transactional emails related to your account (password resets, invitations) and operational notifications (task reminders, usage alerts). You can manage notification preferences in your account settings or unsubscribe.

9. AI Connectors and Third-Party AI Platforms

RetainerOps offers an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector that allows third-party AI platforms (such as Claude by Anthropic) to access your RetainerOps workspace on your behalf. When you authorize a connection:

• The AI platform receives an OAuth access token scoped to your account.
• The platform may read and write data in your workspace (clients, tasks, time entries) only within the permissions you grant at the time of authorization.
• We do not share your credentials or unrelated account data with AI platforms.
• You can revoke any connected AI platform at any time from Settings → Connected Apps.
• Data accessed via the connector is subject to the privacy policy of the third-party AI platform you connect.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
